NC State alum Eli Hornstein’s company, Elysia Creative Biology, is curbing greenhouse gas emissions from cattle with university support. His startup, part of the NC Plant Science Initiative’s Seed2Grow incubator, uses engineered feed crops to reduce methane emissions.

NC State offers programs to help entrepreneurs at every step, from Innovation and Entrepreneurship`s Miller Fellows to the Office of Research Commercialization`s I-Corps program to the Plant Science Initiative`s incubator, and more. “Take advantage of some of the existing entrepreneurship programs at NC State to build your bridge and let that relationship try to grow a bit organically,” he says. 🌱

A new partnership between the NC State Andrews Launch Accelerator and tech consulting group Surety Systems will support two early-stage companies, PointHalo and CN-Seamless, in this summer`s accelerator. Together, the Entrepreneurship Clinic and Surety Systems will provide the resources and guidance that each team needs to scale up toward their goals.
