The First Ever Game Jam was a Major Success
Event Overview:
Are you ready to bring your creative ideas to life and build an amazing game over one weekend? The Triangle Game Jam 2026 is your chance to collaborate with fellow students from Duke University, UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State University and other universities in North Carolina and make something incredible!
Whether you are a programmer, artist, musician, writer or just curious about game development, this event is designed for all skill levels.
Key Details:
- Official Kick off: Friday, January 16, 2026 5:00 P.M – 10:00 P.M at Duke University Fitzpatrick Center
- Work Day: Saturday, January 17, 2026, 12:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at UNC-Chapel Hill Sitterson Hall
Showcase and Award Ceremony Information
The Game Jam Showcase and Award Ceremony will be on Sunday, February 22 (updated because of inclement weather) at NC State’s Hunt Library at Duke Energy Hall from 3:30 P.M. – 6:30 P.M.
Enjoy play testing from 3:30pm – 4:30pm, Award Ceremony from 4:30pm – 5:00pm and end the day with more opportunities to playtest and network.
Whether you’re a seasoned game creator or a curious beginner, the Triangle Game Jam is the perfect opportunity to connect with peers, learn new skills and bring your creative ideas to life.
