Welcome to the Startup Job and Resource Fair!

We’re packing the Entrepreneurship Garage with a mixture of startups from across the Triangle and beyond that are looking to hire (full-time, part-time, and interns) or offer low-cost and free resources to student entrepreneurs. We will also have campus partners that can help you explore the world of entrepreneurship or give you the tools you need to bring your idea to life! 

Who can attend?

  • Any NC State student looking for internships or positions with local startups or seeking resources for their startup.
  • Anyone interested in checking out the Garage and getting acquainted with the entrepreneurship resources we offer
  • Anyone interested in making connections

How do I dress if I’m looking for a job?

You can’t go wrong with business casual! This is an informal event, but we’re not stopping you from standing out.

Where does it take place?

This event will be held at the Entrepreneurship Garage on Centennial Campus located at 1017 Main Campus Drive on Feb 23, 2022, from 4-6 p.m.

Which companies are hiring?

Below is a list of companies hiring interns, entry-level and mid-level positions. They’ll have a red table sign with their vendor number and name on it!

Employers

  • Albaloo (Table 6) – Albaloo is a minority owned go-to-market and business consulting firm focused on growing revenue-first businesses through digital transformations.
    • Job opportunities: Albaloo hires underrepresented groups in tech to help them grow and foster their careers in marketing, business development, sales, content and web development.
  • Carimus (Table 4) – We are Carimus, a brand experience and digital transformation agency. We’ve fused strategy, creativity, and technology to help brands and products breakthrough and connect to their audience on an emotional level.
    • Job opportunities: We are looking for a software / web development intern to support our product, web, and app development teams. This is an exciting opportunity to help the team customize and extend current web and mobile applications, help build prototypes, extend or add new features into existing applications, write test cases, and help troubleshoot and fix bugs. The intern will use their programming and problem-solving skills to assist in the development of applications for our diverse set of clients.
  • Designed For Joy (Table 8)– Designed For Joy provides women in crisis with stability through immediate employment and support, removing the stigma of vulnerability.
    • Job opportunities: Unpaid internships, possible paid roles in retail, case managers, grant writing.
  • Earfluence (Table 11)– Whether you’re looking to start your podcast, need help with your podcast, or you want to amplify your expertise through guest appearances on other podcasts, we’re your go-to podcast agency.
    • Job opportunities: Content writers, entry-level PR, audio editors
  • HUBB Kitchens (Table 13)– HUBB Kitchens provides shared commercial kitchen spaces for rent, helping local foodpreneurs start and grow their businesses in the Triangle.
    • Job opportunities: Interns for operation management, graphic design, and marketing strategy.
  • Kaleido (Table 17) – Kaleido is a rapidly growing tech start-up with a mission to make blockchain radically simple for organizations to adopt so that businesses and society can benefit from decentralized technologies.
    • Job opportunities: Engineers and marketing positions.
  • Levitate (Table 19) – Levitate is a keep-in-touch marketing platform designed to help relationship-based businesses grow by staying top of mind in an authentic, personal way.
    • Job opportunities: We hire for every department but we are really looking for Sales Development Representatives; both full time and part time employees.
  • Pendo (Table 2) – Pendo is on a mission to improve society’s experience with software with powerful analytics, in-application user feedback, and contextual guidance designed to help companies measure and elevate the customer experience within their applications.
    • What they’re hiring: We are currently recruiting for Summer 2022 internships in various disciplines, as well as new college graduate full-time roles.   • Pivotal IT Services(Table 14) – We are a full service Information Technology firm who specializes in Cyber Security, Data Management, and Low-Code/No-Code solutions. We provide federal agencies innovative IT solutions so they can focus on healthcare.
    • Job opportunities: All of our roles are full-time employment opportunities. Our full-time roles include Full Stack Applications Developers, QA Automation Engineers, and Scrum Master/Junior Project Manager.
  • TruLab, Inc. (Table 20) – TruLab, Inc. is a software company headquartered in downtown Durham that provides biological sample tracking and management solutions on blockchain for clinical trials.
    • Job opportunities: We’re hiring a Product Analyst – work closely with our product development and implementation teams to assist with the successful deployment of our technology on clinical trials around the globe. We’re also hiring an Account Executive – identify and establish new prospective client relationships as well as quarterback their evaluation of the solution with the TruLab product team.
  • The Wright Village (Table 15)– The Wright Village is an ecosystem consisting of entrepreneurs in underserved communities. We are a business incubator and coworking space that fosters culture, connects like-minded entrepreneurs, and helps entrepreneurs with purposing their success.
    • Job opportunities: We are offering an unpaid internship, which can be used as credit or volunteer hours if the University approves. We will also provide a $500 stipend paid as $250 midway $250 at the end of internship. We are looking for interns in the field of studies of: Entrepreneurial Studies, marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Event Planning, Hospitality, Operations, Human Resources , Project Management.

What resources are available?

Below is a list of our resource vendors. Remember these are free or low-cost resources for student entrepreneurs. They’ll have a black table sign with their vendor number and name on it!

Startup Resources

  • Arts Entrepreneurship Minor (Table 3) – Arts Entrepreneurship here at NC State.
  • Cooperating Raleigh Colleges (Table 7) – Cooperating Raleigh Colleges promotes collaboration among higher education institutions in Raleigh, NC and with the Wake County community.
  • Engineering Entrepreneurs Program (EEP) (Table 9)– Students in the EEP choose an engineering problem and form an entrepreneurial venture or product aimed to solve or mitigate the problem and prepare the product for market.
  • Entrepreneur House (Table 10) – A co-living network for 21-26 year old entrepreneurs looking to build close relationships with other purpose-driven founders. The Entrepreneur House community allows entrepreneurs to travel, grow their business, and connect meaningfully with 12-15 other founders they live with along the way.
  • NC State Entrepreneurship (Table 1)– NC State’s main entrepreneurship center dedicated to helping students build entrepreneurial mindsets. We help entrepreneurs no matter where they are in their journey.
  • NC State Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Table 5) – Our mission is to create opportunities for students and the broader community to build the skills, self awareness, cultural competence and connections to understand and solve complex social problems.
  • Pivotal IT Services (Table 14) – We are a full service Information Technology firm who specializes in Cyber Security, Data Management, and Low-Code/No-Code solutions. We provide federal agencies innovative IT solutions so they can focus on healthcare.
  • RIoT (Table 12) – We focus on economic development by capturing emerging markets and accelerating startups—creating IoT opportunities locally, nationally, and globally.
  • SBTDC (Table 16) – We provide management counseling and educational services to small and mid-sized businesses. Most of our services are free of charge, and all are confidential. By providing entrepreneurs with the tools they need to build and grow successful businesses, the SBTDC positively impacts NC’s economy.
  • The Wright Village (Table 15) – The Wright Village is an ecosystem consisting of entrepreneurs in underserved communities. We are a business incubator and coworking space that fosters culture, connects like-minded entrepreneurs, and helps entrepreneurs with purposing their success.
  • Wyrick Robbins Yates & Ponton (Table 18) – Wyrick is a full service law firm with a focus on growth-oriented businesses.
