Wolf Den Pitch Competition
November 17, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
FreeThe Annual Global Entrepreneurship Week pitch competition at NC State returns!
Join innovators from NC State and beyond for this Shark Tank-inspired event giving students the opportunity to pitch their business concept for live judges and a live audience. Hear five bold ideas and watch as these students face the wolves’ questions and vie for “investment” dollars. Who will walk away with capital to build their ventures? Who will go home empty-handed? We will also be awarding an Audience Choice Award, so make sure you come to cheer for your favorite team!
This year’s contestants are:
- Nature’s Throne – The world’s first outdoor chair that combines a comfortable camping chair with a discreet, portable toilet to enhance outdoor experiences and eliminate uncomfortable bathroom situations.
- Illuminary – A contemporary, uniquely engineered take on light decorations with a multipurpose and educative goal to aesthetically illuminate an atmosphere while also shedding light on the significant holidays and festivals they are used to commemorate.
- BioSensys – Wearable sleeve designed to continuously detect and measure lactate levels in patients and can wirelessly transmit readings to clinicians for faster intervention.
- Discomfort Club – Helping people overcome limitations by taking actionable steps outside of their comfort zone.
- SportLens – A cutting-edge sports camera that automatically tracks your movements and transforms your gameplay into cinematic highlight videos, offering personalized coaching and performance analysis for a reasonable price.
Providing Q and A and deciding their fate will be our live Judges, the Wolves:
Felicia Trujillo – Founder of Food Seen, a boutique marketing studio
Suresh Bhagchandaniis the President of ExecSocks, a subscription sock delivery service. He currently works for one of the fortune 20 technology companies as a Senior Sales Manager, where he manages a team of young consultants as he mentors them to originate and manage new and existing business. It’s said that “if you dress confident, you feel confident” and Execsocks lets you do that in just the right way.
Parker Mayes – A recent NC State marketing grad with a background in sales and entrepreneurship. During his time at NC State, he spent a year and a half helping Dale Carnegie Training launch and sell their Next Gen Leadership Program and helped a marketing startup to launch and grow their business to their first 50 clients as their first employee.
Now since graduating, he’s taken this entrepreneurial sales experience to launch two companies of his own: Inbound Revenue, a sales company that helps marketing agencies build their sales funnels effectively and LetsGo, a consumer subscription business that’s a personal assistant for busy professionals.
