Discover the World of Entrepreneurship at NC State this Semester
Anyone can become an entrepreneur at NC State. Whether you want to open up a coffee shop, or launch your own apparel line or build an app, NC State is here to help. Through a wealth of programs and initiatives, we provide you everything you need to bring your bright ideas to life.
How to Get Involved with NC State Entrepreneurship
Become a Garage Member
One of the best ways to get involved with the entrepreneurship community at NC State is to become a member of the Entrepreneurship Garage located on Centennial Campus. To become a member you simply need to fill out the form on our website and complete orientation on Moodle.
After completing those steps, you will have 24/7 access to the co-working space we share with Raleigh Founded where you can work alongside real startups. Plus you will be able to reserve equipment in our prototyping lab to design and create your ideas. Check out our 3D pictures of our prototyping lab here.
Attend Events
NC State Entrepreneurship hosts a variety of events throughout the year for students to attend. Students can RSVP for events through the calendar on our website.
This year we will host an open house at the Entrepreneurship Garage during Wolfpack Welcome Week to give students to come ask questions and get involved. Students can also experience entrepreneurship at NC State at Entrepalooza – NC State’s annual entrepreneurship and innovation festival hosted at the Stafford Commons right outside of Talley on Sept. 30.
In addition to the open house, we will host the Started at State speaker series where NC State alumni that have successfully started a business share their insight. The Entrepreneurship Mentorship Meetup is co-hosted with the NC State eClinic and gives students the opportunity to network with mentors from a wide variety of industries.
Join us for learning workshops such as Pro-Series – a four-part, hands-on workshop where small cohorts of students will go through the process of receiving professional training on how to make, photograph and sell their products. Or apply to be a part of the Ideation Seminar and learn how to work through the ideation phase of your entrepreneurial journey
