Exciting Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship at VenturePack Challenge
With over $100,000 up for grabs, eighteen teams brought their best pitches to VenturePack Challenge 2026.
VenturePack Challenge (VPC) 2026 was an exciting display of innovation, entrepreneurship and interdisciplinary ideas. On April 7, 2026, eighteen teams competed for a grand total of $128,000 at NC State’s largest startup competition, VenturePack Challenge.
During the ceremony, the student startup teams took the stage to deliver their pitches to an audience of over 190 attendees. Pulling from their own diverse expertise, these teams developed creative solutions to a variety of real-life challenges.
From surgical recovery to language learning, the challenges addressed spanned disciplines — and so did the students. The teams were made up of talented students and advisors from across the university, each of whom brought their own ideas, skills and experiences to their startup. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, these teams developed innovative solutions and translated them into business models. During the showcase, all of that hard work got the recognition it deserved. Every pitch was followed by cheers from audience members and fellow competitors.
After the ceremony and pitches, guests were ushered to the showcase portion of the night. VPC teams were joined by other Wolfpack entrepreneurs, including Student Made at NC State, to share their ventures with the community and sell products.

With businesses ranging from agriculture to biomedical to personal care and more, VenturePack Challenge was a jaw-dropping show with fifteen student teams pitching their businesses to a live audience.
