Applications Open for Seed Grants in Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship Research

Seed grants will build interdisciplinary relationships in entrepreneurship research at NC State University.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship is actively seeking proposals for a diverse range of activities aimed at fostering collaborative research endeavors. Each year, small grants (~$2,500) are awarded to encourage and facilitate entrepreneurship-focused research.

Successful proposals will clearly communicate how the funds received will result in the pursuit of peer-reviewed journal publications, or similar research-focused projects with a clear outcome. Optimally, these seed grants will build interdisciplinary relationship in entrepreneurship research at NC State University, and promote accessibility, diversity, equity and inclusion.

Allowable activities include:

  • Hourly pay for graduate or undergraduate students for research assistance
  • Data collection or data access
  • Participant recruitment
  • Research-focused workshops
  • Proposal ideation workshops
  • Research-focused hack-a-thons

The deadline for submission for the Spring awards is March 31, 2024, with notifications of awards scheduled for April 15, 2024.
