Thien Nguyen

Bio

Thien is a senior studying Business Administration in the Poole College of Management with a concentration in Finance. His goal is to work in an established company as a financial analyst.

Throughout his first year at NC State as a transfer student, he worked on developing a painting business, Durty Durham Decks (ig: @durtydurhamdecks), while also helping his family at their nail salon. While growing the business, he enjoyed improving his communication skills, mastering his craft, and being a good leader for his crew. He also benefitted from attending some workshops and networking events at NC State, club events for the Muslim Student Association, and the exposure to peers of different backgrounds on campus and through group work in class. Moving forward, he hopes to be more involved with NC State as an Entrepreneurship Student Ambassador and make use of his experience running a business.

Thien enjoys running, learning new things, and playing soccer!
