Ethan Turner
Electrical Engineering, Sophomore
Bio
Ethan is a sophomore at NC State with an intent to major in Electrical Engineering in the College of Engineering with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Industrial Engineering. His goal is to combine electrical engineering with his interests in exercise and sports and, in doing so, he hopes to find more personal ways to benefit athletes’ technique and exercise routines.
Even though his COVID-impacted freshman year, Ethan was able to get involved at NC State by working as a fitness assistant at the university’s Wellness and Recreation Center, joining the Sigma Chi Fraternity, taking part in the University Scholars Program, competing in Make-a-Thon and being selected as an NC State Entrepreneurship and Sameer Murarka Entrepreneurship Scholar. His next goals are to become a better leader as an Entrepreneurship Ambassador and Scholar, get his personal trainer certification through NC State and start creating in the Entrepreneurship Garage. Ethan will be a part of NC State’s CREATE program, where he will serve as a mentor to high school students who will form teams to create a business proposal that will be pitched in the spring.
In his free time, Ethan’s favorite activities are martial arts, snowboarding, and golf. Besides these things, he enjoys spending free time with friends, listening to music, playing chess and watching sports or movies.
