Daniel Richter
Fourth Year, Industrial Engineering
Bio
Daniel is a senior at NC State majoring in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Business Entrepreneurship. His passion is to help businesses become more sustainable and profitable.
During Fall 2022, Daniel will be studying abroad in Lund, Sweden. But back home, he is a resident of the Albright Entrepreneurs Village, a member of the NC Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, and a member of the NC State Chapter of Alpha Pi Mu. Prior to his senior year, Daniel has worked for NC State Industry Expansion Solutions, and researched in NC State’s Center for Additive Manufacturing and Logistics. He was also the Director of Programming for Bowen Residence Hall, a member of 1887 Fellows, and a member of the Impact Leadership Village.
What really kindled his entrepreneurial mindset was having the ability to network with amazing peers virtually during the pandemic. Daniel participated in as many opportunities as he could, and those opportunities allowed him to talk to people all over the world! He saw first-hand that there were individuals that were severely affected by the pandemic, but still made the effort to participate in these opportunities. Since that realization, Daniel has made an effort to get out of his comfort zone on a daily basis, which is, coincidentally, a key component of the entrepreneurial mindset.
Daniel sees his free time as an opportunity to spend time on an aspect of wellness that he has not worked on that day. He could be practicing the guitar, playing chess, completing a crossword, working out, playing golf, reaching out to friends or anything in between!
