Computer Science, Sophomore
Bio
Cedric is a rising sophomore majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Business Entrepreneurship from the Poole College of Management. He aims to launch a machine learning company and use large-scale data to improve our world.
Cedric initially became fascinated with entrepreneurship after starting and selling Kitsuma Bars, a retail-based business in Asheville, NC, and took that passion to compete at events like Entrepalooza and helping with the Lulu Games. His campus involvement includes being a director at Engineers Without Borders, an organization focused on building a better world through innovative projects, and Alpha Kappa Psi. He is also involved with the North Carolina Entrepreneur Corps in partnership with the NCDIT, and also serves on the student advisory committee of the NC State EYE Fund. Cedric represents NC State nationally as a VP of NAESC, the National Association of Engineering Student Councils covering 250,000 engineering undergraduates.
In building an entrepreneurial mindset, Cedric believes that failure is the key to success. He encourages others to never be afraid to take an idea to a reality and to take advantage of all the great resources NC State Entrepreneurship offers, from networking, launching, and outreach!
He loves traveling and outdoor sports like backpacking, rafting, and running.
