Meet the Teams
Forest Found | $1,500
Forest Found produces and will begin selling its product, Bye Bye Bite, in March 2026. Bye Bye Bite is a plant-based insect bite relief for young adults aged 19-25 and the parents of young children and their families to enjoy the outdoors.
Megan Aljian, a senior in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the College of Sciences, is the founder of the company.
Aegis Medical | $750 + Audience Choice
Aegis Medical is a student-led initiative advancing a novel specimen retrieval device that integrates specimen compression to reduce extraction force and incision size, thereby enhancing efficiency, safety, and precision in minimally invasive surgical procedures. The initiative is advancing toward commercialization through interdisciplinary research, prototyping, and clinician-guided testing.
The team consists of Katie McCormack, Ryan Teague, Yashica Paramkusha and John Araujo. These four are graduate students in the College of Engineering.
KAIRS | $1,000
KAIRS aims to revolutionize orthopedic rehabilitation by making it more accessible, personalized and affordable using AI.
The KAIRS team consists of two seniors from the College of Engineering, Samanyu Dixit and Chinmay Singh.
Enviracell | $750
Enviracell is an eco-friendly, lithium-free battery redefining power for a safer and more sustainable future.
Bhavya Jain is a graduate student in the College of Engineering and the founder of Enviracell.
Colvida | $500
Colvida is developing a next-generation fecal management system (FMS) designed to form-fit to each patient, preventing leaks and reducing hospital-acquired pressure injuries (HAPIs), improving patient outcomes, and reducing hospital costs.
Colvida is led by a team of graduate students from the College of Engineering, including Casey Byrne, Max Miller, Jon Badillo and Adam Jilla.
