NC State ISE Students Join Forces With Hosiery Mill to Create Face Masks
North Carolina State University ISE students, Katie Lawson and Eric Swanson, join local hosiery mill as industrial engineering consultants to direct Easy Masks in optimal production. Lawson also serves as President of the NC State Entrepreneurship Student Ambassador Program and is both a Sameer Murarka Entrepreneurship Scholar and an NC State Entrepreneurship Scholar due to her outstanding achievements and involvements with entrepreneurship activities. Both students applied their industrial engineering knowledge in production line optimization, mask design, and safe packaging to help meet the increased demand during the pandemic.
