From the tech world to the food industry Startup Essentials: Getting a Product into Market will feature Ruth Taylor. Ruth has a long career at IBM and has launched her own company Mrs. Ruth’s Jams.  Attendees can expect to learn about the complexities of getting a product into market and how Ruth uses her experience in IT to inform Mrs. Ruth’s Jams.

More about our speaker: Ruth Taylor is the owner of Mrs. Ruth’s Jams, an artisanal jam business specializing in small batch, NC based jams. Ruth also has a technology career ranging from offering management, marketing strategy, new business development, leading strategic partnerships, mergers & acquisitions, commercialization of technology for IBM and as a venture capital investor and product development.   She serves on the Board of the NC Specialty Foods Board, an organization whose goal is raise the profile of NC’s food businesses.  Ruth has been involved as owner, investor and advisor to many entrepreneurial businesses.
