CANCELLED – Started at State ft. JiNan Glasgow George

March 2 | 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED – We apologize for the inconvenience. Please join us for our next Started at State Speaker Series or join EEP for one of their speaker series

This entrepreneurial speaker series features both current NC State students and alumni business founders. Come learn from fascinating tales from the trailblazers who Started at State as they share the secrets and setbacks encountered on their journey to entrepreneurial success.

This event is great for anyone looking to learn what it takes to start a business from scratch and the unconventional career paths in entrepreneurship. We hold Q&A at the end so the audience can ask the speaker some questions.

This evening’s speaker is College of Textiles alumna, JiNan Glasgow George of Neo IP Assets. JiNan will be talking about her entrepreneurial journey and more recent work as a patent attorney, among other powerful stories!

About this incredible guest:

Everyone has the power to create positive impact. What are you doing with it?!

JiNan Glasgow George is the co-founder of Magic Number, founder of Neo IP, and created two thought leader platforms for IP strategists the NEO IP Linkedin forum and the Eclipse IP Futures Conference (now in its 8th year)

JiNan is recognized worldwide for her expertise in intellectual property. She has spoken about intellectual property before the UN Economic Commission for Europe and been a featured speaker at IP conferences across four continents. A thought leader in the field, JiNan has been featured in Bloomberg News and Forbes, and she is a member of the Forbes Tech Council.

As an inventor, entrepreneur, patent attorney and former USPTO patent examiner, JiNan’s background gives her the ability to see intellectual property from the corporate, legal services and government perspectives – a unique personal perspective not common in this industry. She is an investor and has a track record of helping companies increase their valuation through developing an IP strategy that helps them “own their zone.” Many of the projects JiNan has worked on have seen valuation increases of 5x to 15x.

She has worked with companies like Apple, Microsoft, Syngenta, and Visa, and she hold degrees in engineering, law, and theology from NC State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Duke University, respectively.

This event is brought to you by AWE and NC State Entrepreneurship. To obtain the Zoom link, please RSVP and you’ll receive the link via email closer to the event.
